Follow Him’s Schönweide, dark bay Oldenburg premium stallion, by Follow Me/Sir Donnerhall, born in 2015, standing approximately 16.2 hands. Follow Him’s Schönweide was the celebrated premium stallion at the Oldenburg licensing in 2017. Exceptional type brilliance is paired with excellent line and frame, correct foundation and impeccable conformation. He impresses with three first-class basic movement types, presented from a swinging back. He passed his 14 day test with a rideability score of 9.0 and he received a final dressage score of 8.38. During the 14-day test he was approved for the Hanoverian breeding association and later awarded the main premium winner price of the Oldenburger breeding association for his great first foals. His foals impressed on the foal registrations with nobility, size, excellent walk and a lot of knee action. He also passed his 50-day test with consistent top scores. Follow Him’s Schönweide has sired 2 licensed sons. Many succesful riders have acquired offspring of Follow Him’s Schönweide, amongst them for example Jessica von Bredow-Werndl who bought a lovely 4-year daughter of Follow Him’s Schönweide (bred by Bernhard Sieverding). Follow Him’s Schönweide sire Follow Me OLD was the Champion Stallion of the Oldenburg licensing in 2012 and in 2014 he was 1b Main Premium Champion and State Riding Horse Champion. In 2017, he produced the Bundeschampion of three-year-old stallions, Finest Selection. His dam Bellissima PJF was in 2013 Brilliant Ring Mare of the Oldenburg Elite Mare Show at Schlosspark zu Rastede. She is a full sister to the Oldenburg premium stallion Sir Niro (licensing 2009) and half-sister to the Oldenburg premium stallion of the licensing 2011, Feu d’Or (by Fackeltanz, PB Brdbg.), who was successful up to Grand Prix with Falk Rosenbauer. Follow Him’s Schönweide dam sire, Sir Donnerhall I, was himself the second reserve Champion at his licensing, stallion performance test Champion, 2005 1a Main Premium Stallion, 2006 Bundeschampion as well as Vice World Champion of five-year-old dressage horses and turned out to be a “foundation sire”. He has already produced 100 licensed sons, including several licensing winners. Rohdiamant in the third generation was himself a licensing winner, main premium winner, two-time Bundeschampion and Grand Prix winner. The great De Niro in the fourth generation was Grand Prix winner, won the German Dressage Derby, was Stallion of the Year in Hannover in 2008 and has been leading the WBFSH World Dressage Ranking List for years. Five times in the pedigree, Follow Him’s Schönweide is genetically back-bred to the great Oldenburg hereditary genius Donnerhall. Via Manstein, Barsoi xx, Futuro and Duellgraf, all formative sires of the Oldenburg breed, the falling dam line continues. Follow Him’s Schönweide represents the original Hanoverian line 897/Wolga (by Wintersport-Doktorand I-Antritt-Journalist), which also produced the licensed stallions Auftritt (Ldb. Zweibrücken) and Vorderriß (Ldb. Schwaiganger) and international sport horses for dressage and jumping. Follow Him’s Schönweide is everybody’s darling: he convices us daily with his great character and willingness to work. Despite the high demand as a breeding stallion he was well placed on the M-Level in 2021. Unfortunately he needed a break from his sport career because of a field accident, but he is recovering well and therefore we hope for a full recovery that enables him to show his potential under the saddle again.
