Cheri Passed Away

The
Westfalian state stallion Mon Cheri passed away
on February 20, 2005. The chestnut sire by
Matcho AA out of Galante (by Goldstein x Pik König)
died of a heart attack in his box at the
Warendorf State Stud in Germany.
The
20-year old Mon Cheri was bred by Eduard
Richters from Osten, Germany, and was reared by
Marliese Luckmann and K.L Gerdemann from
Appelhulsen, Germany. In 1987, Mon Cheri was
licensed in Munster and has been standing at
stud in Warendorf ever since.
Mon
Cheri has a dressage breeding index of 132
points and stands in the stallion top ten in
Germany. He has 349 offspring that are
registered as competition horse with the German
Equestrian Federation. He sired 15 State Premium
Mares and has one licensed son, Montmartre, who
passed away last year.
