Already a living legend – World-beating show jumping stallion
A legendary sports horse with a unique personality: For Pleasure looks back on
an inimitable sporting career with total winnings of over € 1.8 Mio. He won
fabulous trophies including several team Olympic and European gold medals,
German Champion and many many victories in Grand Prix and World Cup
competitions. A comet-like career began with 149.95 points in the jumping index
at his stallion performance test already showing the class of this outstanding
sports horse. His offspring leave no doubts to his top-rate ability as a
breeding stallion. As if they were to honour his ingenious pedigree, which
combines Furioso II and Grannus, they are playing a bigger role than ever in the
international jumping sport. Ridden by Marcus Ehning, For Germany won the Grand
Prix in Dortmund. Amongst the countless prizewinning horses were Firth of
Clyde/Christian Ahlmann, For Keeps/Lars Nieberg, Forsyth/Toni Hassmann or
Farina/Rene Tebbel. The young and talented Ferron was awarded a premium at the
2007 Westphalian stallion approvals and also in Holstein a son of For Pleasure
was able convince the licensing panel of his terrific potential. An entire
armada of highly successful sports horses originates from For Pleasure’s dam
line, including Carmen/Johannes Ehning, For Fun/ Marcus Ehning as well as
licensed stallions such as Fly High, For Lief’s Memory or For Play.
