September 5th, 2021:
What a wonderful update/testimonial by Heather
Calder Marchman, I vividly remember the day she contacted me about
him and bought him on the spot, sight unseen.
Even made her send a copy of her drivers license, as it sounded
nearly too easy. Check out the dressage score in the Eventing
Championships, got told one of the best yet.
So happy she trusted me all along, she says the following: Irene
Hoeflich-Wiederhold your horses are insanely talented and beautiful.
I’m happy I’ve had the privilege to own and ride a HW
horse!
In addition, here is her post: A difficult but ultimately the best
decision was for me to pass my ride on Duke
HW to the very talented junior rider, Mia Brown. They just won their
division at the American Eventing Championships! Mia worked very hard
and did her homework to finish on her dressage score of 22 (78%). Many
people have helped develop Duke over the years. Shout out to Mia’s
trainers Dani and Joe McKinley (Vanguard Eventing), her parents Bob and
Martha Brown, HW Farms, trainer Susan Davies, trainer Nellie
Martin-Gils, trainer Bella Mowbray Stevenson, trainer Tracy Elizabeth,
trainer Amanda de la Rosa, trainer Dyan Southern, and trainer Connie
Arthur. Notably, Connie Arthur and Dyan Southern’s systematic approach
for introducing young horses to cross country jumping played a huge role
in Duke’s confidence on the very challenging Kentucky xc course! A
special thank you to my wonderful husband for his generous financial
support and for encouraging me to follow my dreams.

Satisfaction
HW brought his A game for his owner Pamela
Aide, they just collected their last qualifying score for 2nd level.
She says: This horse continues to put it all out there in the ring for
me.
How wonderful, congratulations to this successful team, good luck at
the championships!

US
Equestrian publishes the following article, super stoked for this
dream team:
This week's #IAmUSEquestrian feature is Amelia Brown pictured with Duke
HW, an Oldenburg. Amelia is 16 years old, and is from San Leandro,
California. Hear more about how horses have positively impacted her
life.
"Horses have have given me a great work ethic and riding has
made me a more determined and resilient person. I believe I have worked
very hard throughout my riding career to become who I am today. I’ve
learned plenty of lessons along the way that have made me stronger and
smarter. Working with horses is a very special thing. Horses have made
me more aware and compassionate towards others. I don’t believe I
would have learned these lessons if I didn’t ride."
If you or someone you know would like to share their story with us,

Congratulations to this super team!
So incredibly proud of Denarius HW (aka D’Grayson
HW, owned by Christine
Shreffler)! At his third show ever, and at the very scary, busy
Kentucky Horse Park he was an absolute star! Through a solid foundation
of trust and a loving partnership, he continues to learn so much and
really enjoys his job in the dressage ring!
He earned two 70% scores on Saturday (one in a ring that he had never
seen, complete with golf carts buzzing all over) and on Sunday, he
earned a whopping 77% at T-3! He won his class, was high point at
training level and overall high point across all levels for the day!
Just wow! He earned lots of carrots and took a well deserved nap.

Eurodressage publishes the following article:
Laura Graves Returns to the Show Ring with
SenSation HW
Laura Graves, the anchor of the U.S. dressage team from 2014 till
2019 At the national dressage show held during the CDI Ocala at the
World Equestrian Centre on 16 - 18 April 2021, Graves made her show
debut on her newly obtained ride, SenSation HW.

World Number One
Laura Graves
was America's first and, so far, only FEI World number
one ranked rider.
Aboard the now retired KWPN gelding Verdades (by Florett As x Goya),
she was a fixed member on the U.S team from 2014 till 2019.
At the 2014 World Equestrian Games they finished fifth in the
freestyle as best U.S. rider and they were the 2014 American reserve
Grand Prix Champions. In 2015 they finished fourth at the World Cup
Finals. At the 2015 Pan American Games they won team gold and individual
silver. In 2016 they went to their first Olympic Games in Rio de
Janeiro, where they were fourth in the Kur.
Graves
and SenSation HW
In 2017 they finished second at the World Cup Finals and won the
Grand Prix Special at the CDIO Aachen, beating long-time rivals Isabell
Werth on Weihegold. At the 2018 World Cup Finals they were second again
(after winning the Grand Prix and beating Werth/Weihegold for a second
time). She won the 2018 CDIO Aachen Grand Prix, but was then 11th in the
Special. She bounced back to third in the Kur. At the 2018 World
Equestrian Games in Tryon they won team and individual silver. Their
final show in their career they were second in the 2019 World Cup
Finals.
Verdades was officially retired from sport at the beginning of 2020.
SenSation HW
With no real successor in the barn, Graves saw a door
opened when she received the ride on Scott
& Carol McPhee's 8-year old
Westfalian gelding SenSation HW
(by Sunday x
Dancier x Lanthan) in May
2020.
Under Michael
Bragdell SenSation HW
won the 2018 and 2019 U.S. Young
Horse Nationals as a 5 and 6-year old. At the end of 2019, SenSation HW
also won the USDF Third Level Open Championship.
Over the past year Graves developed the black gelding to small tour
level and made her competition debut in the Prix St Georges in Ocala on
Friday 16 April. They rode the test in a snaffle and placed third with
66.471%. A day later, Graces switched to a double bridle and rode a
second national Prix St Georges test, which they won with 68.676%
