Winner of the German Foal Championships Ferdinand HW, bay Westphalian gelding by the powerful and dynamic BundesChampion Franziskus/BundesChampion Quaterback, born in 2012, standing approximately 169 cm or 16.2 hands. BundesFoalChampion Ferdinand HW, is one of a kind, he has just the best bloodlines, his sire is the premium stallion Franziskus, he impressed the spectators at the Westphalian licensing in 2010. He has a brilliant type, a perfect frame as well as a harmonious and correct exterior. His basic gaits are nearly perfect: He walks with diligence and beat, he trots with impulsion and forward thrust and he canters uphill. Franziskus was already very good as a foal. He won the qualification to the German foal-championships. In 2011 Franziskus absolved the 30-days-test in Münster-Handorf successfully: He got a score of 9.0 for trot, canter and rideabilty in the training and 9.5 for his character. The test rider gave him even 9.5 points for rideability. Continuing his life of success, Franziskus soon became Bundeschampion of the 4-year-old riding stallions with top marks when he was presented by both his own and by foreign riders in 2012. The Olympic rider Ingrid Klimke began riding Franziskus at the end of 2013 and was victorious with him in his first dressage class for young horses, at "M-level" (the highest class 6-year-olds can compete in Germany). In the beginning of 2015, Franzikus started in his first "S-dressage" and was placed. Franziskus' sire Fidertanz began his career by winning the Westphalian licensing and the 30-days-test in Neustadt/Dosse. He was runner up at the "Bundeschampionat" and was the main premium award winner in 2006. Since then, Fidertanz has placed in many advanced dressage classes. His dam, Antara, has also produced the licensed stallion Dementi, who is successful in advanced dressage competitions as well. His Dam's sire, Alabaster, was "Bundeschampion" of young dressage horses. In the third and fourth generation, there are the international sport horses, and important stallions, Rubinstein I and Grundstein I. The basis of the dam line is the Irish thoroughbred mare Daffy Toban xx (by Go Tobann xx-Mustang xx, family 2). That line produced the sires Count on Me, Grafenstein and Winston hervor, as well as the international sport horses Grand Giraud (Alexandra Simons-de Ridder) and Calman, who won the Grand Prix of Nörten-Hardenberg with Rolf Moormann. Franziskus' sire, Fidertanz, started his phenomenal career in the year 2004 as NRW-Champion Stallion in Münster-Handorf. In 2005, Fidertanz won his 30-day-test in Neustadt/Dosse with excellent results, and became Vice Bundeschampion with a top score of 9.5 in test-riding. In the year 2006, Fidertanz won the High Premium award for dressage-stallions at the Oldenburg-licensing in Vechta. In the meantime, Fidertanz has been trained up to the advanced level in dressage. Franziskus' dam, Antara, produced with De Niro the licensed stallion Dementi, who is successful at the advanced dressage S Level. The dam's sire is the former Bundeschampion of German Dressage Horses, Alabaster. The third and fourth generation of the pedigree is refined by the internationally successful top-stallions Rubinstein I and Grundstein I. The dam line is based on the Irish thoroughbred-mare Daffy Toban xx (v. Go Tabann xx-Mustang xx-Flamenco xx etc,, thoroughbred-familiy 2). Some of the stallions out of this line (which is followed by the breeding-familiy Albers since the mid 1970's) are e.g. Count on Me (PB Denmark), Grafenstein (PB Oldenburg, State Stud Redefin and Marbach), Winston (PB Hannover, State Stud Celle), as well as the international sport horses Grand Giraud/Alexandra Simons-de Ridder and Calman, who won the "Goldene Peitsche" in Nörten-Hardenberg under the saddle of Rolf Moormann. Ingrid Klimke and Franziskus Ferdinand HW's dam sire is the BundesChampion Quaterback A stallion that seems like he could only come from another planet - with his light-footed, brilliant movement and perfect cadence, all eyes become riveted on Quaterback when he appears. He was the radiant Bundeschampion of the three year old riding horses in 2006 with the highest scores for his trot and canter. The test riders in Warendorf even gave him this dream score of 10.0. Prior to this test, he had won several tests for young riding horses. He was also the winner of his 30-day test with a final score of 9.14 in dressage, an 8.43 for jumping and an overall score of 8.88. As if it were not enough to have unbelievably dynamic movement, he was also blessed with an outstanding type. Quaterback comes from one of the most successful mare lines of modern day. His dam Passionata is a half-sister of the unforgettable World Champion and double Bundeschampion, Poetin. Her full brothers Samba Hit I to IV put on convincing presentations at the Bundeschampionate. Samba Hit I was also a finalist in the 2006 Nürnberg Burgpokal and the sire of Samba's Diamond who became the Champion Stallion of the licensing in Berlin-Brandenburg and Sachsen-Anhalt that same year. Quaterback's successful advanced (S) level sire Quaterman also participated in several Bundeschampionats and is deemed one of the best sires for passing on good movements in the new German States. The grandsire Quando-Quando took 15th place at the World Championships in Aachen in 2006 under Kristy Oatley-Nist. With a pedigree geared for performance from all sides and from the famous Neustädter P family, all doors are open for Quaterback. He passes his big and fleet-footed movement to his offspring, and therefore has produced a lot of foal champions and auction foals. One of them was sold for 120.000 euros at a Hanoverian auction. His off-spring are very popular, due to their modern, noble looks, outstanding rideability and strong movements and they also have the good jumping ability his pedigree promises. All of these characteristics are impressively documented in the FN's 2004 Predicted Breeding Value statistics. In 2012, Quaterback was the sire of a Vice-Bundeschampion. Quarterback uses his body as nothing you have ever seen. He is the talk of the town in Germany, with movements that can only be described as incredibly supple, strong and uphill. Over 50 sons of Quaterback are now licensed, including the 2009 and 2010 young stallion champions in Neustadt/Dosse. In addition, Quaterback has produced several premium stallions at almost all German licensing's. He is an exemplary horse, he is "tres chique" as well as noble at the same time. A horse for the discriminating buyer. He has it all. He was the winner of the German Foal Championships in 2012, this is a really rare accomplishment, for a foal and the lifetime dream of any breeder. The qualification tests/shows, for the foal Championships, are held over the entire nation. Only the top 25% of all of those who compete (500 - 600 foals each year), get invited to the Championship itself. Out of all of those, Ferdinand HW, was the clear Champion. Check out that freedom in the shoulder and active hind legs! He has a superb rhythm and swings softly through his back. His gaits are just breathtaking. The canter comes with a phenomenal uphill movement with lots of air time, jumping well up and out and under every single time. He is so much fun to watch and ride. The trot is packed with schwung and as elastic as it gets, his front legs reach far out and up, totally amazing. His active hind end enables him to look effortless and his hind legs are reaching far under his body. He will be a piaffe and passage machine, that's very obvious already. His walk is pure and rhythmic. Ferdinand HW loves collected work, he goes easily through the neck, on the bit, feather light for the riders hand. He is just stunning and a horse of a lifetime. Ferdinand HW is working at First Level, giving his best every single day. He is in the same hands since he was a foal. His future is a very bright one. This young man is a "people horse" and loves to be pampered and cuddled, he will wrap his neck around your shoulders and beg for more and more hugs. He knows everything a young horse needs to know. Used to the wash rack, hot walker and more. He is easy to load and travels well. Looking for a true Young Horse Candidate? Or something for the Bundeschampionat?
