Vito HW is by the famous stallion Valdiviani - a stallion with world wide radiance. Last year, Valdiviani proved to be a great sire through his first generation of foals. Isabell Werth is convinced that he has a great career awaiting him as an athlete. This young talent will take his sport examination in March 2021. He has a great locomotion and loads of impulsion. This 5yo stallion by Veneno and Fidertanz (dam) was presented for approval in Hanover in 2018 and left Verden as an approved stallion. He finished his 14-day competition in Neustadt (Dosse) in 2019 with maximum scores of 9.5 for character, 9.25 for mental abilities and 9 for will to perform. In 2020, Valdiviani passed the sport show for approved stallions in Münster-Handorf for which he received the final dressage score of 8.87. It is the 5th best result out of 18 stallions. His individual scores : trot 8.70, canter 8.40, walk 7.70, manageability 8.20, global impression 8.50. Valdiviani's sire, Veneno (Vitalis - Diamond Hit), caught everybody's attention thanks to his performances at top-level dressage shows and thanks to his particularly promising offspring.

On his dam's side flows Fidertanz blood. He's been proving his worth for many years now. Given this lineage, all the conditions are set to obtain a very special offspring - and Valdiviani is a living proof of this heritage. The breeder Roger Ballman from St Vith (BE) had her premium mare Fairlight RB covered by Veneno. This broodmare already gave birth to Lierberman, a gelding by Lord Loxley, which reached S level in dressage and won the Young Horses Competition of Wickrath at the age of 4. From the crossing with Escolar, Valdiviani's dam also produced a very talented mare which, like her brother Valdiviani , is now ready for top-level competitions with Isabell Werth.

Fairlight produced three times in a row the winning foal of the Aachen Euregio show : Valdiviani by Veneno and two foals by Escolar - all three of them were gold medalists.

De Niro's sire, Donnerhall, holds the highest dressage breeding value index (271) of all stallions. He placed second among 70 stallions at his performance test and went on to become DLG Champion in 1986. Donnerhall won more than 65 FEI Level and Grand Prix competitions and competed successfully until he was retired at 17-years of age. De Niro's dam was a successful dressage competitor producing an Approved stallion in Westfalia. His dam's sire, Akzent II, is regarded as one of the best sires of rideability in modern sport horse breeding producing many Approved stallions and expensive auction horses.

De Niro was Reserve Champion of the 1996 Stallion Performance Test in Adelheidsdorf with an excellent overall score of 144,93. He scored 9s in all three gaits and was awarded the highest scores for rideability (9,67) finishing the riding portion of the test with a total of 145,41 points. He was also one of the best jumping stallions at the Verden stallion market in 1995.

De Niro is an extremely popular sire in Germany due to his outstanding movements, extremely high rideability and beautiful type. His foals are consistently elegant, modern type, show excellent conformation as well as outstanding movement. His first foal crop got an overall note of 9 by the Oldenburg commission and based on the exceptional quality of his foals, he received the "Hauptpraemiensieger" (Main Premium Champion) award in 1997. From his first foal crop, four of his sons were licensed; one in Westphalia, one in Hannover, who was taken into the first lot by the State Stud Celle and two in Oldenburg, both of which were sold for very high prices to Sweden. As an 9 year old, he has 14 Approved sons. De Niro continues to produce high priced auction horses at Vechta and Verden. At the Elite Auction in Verden in April 2000, the colt Day Dream, by De Niro, was the top auction foal selling for DM45,000. In April of 2001, the two high priced foals were by De Niro and sold for DM41,000 and DM31,000. Of the 5 high priced foals, 4 were by De Niro. At Vechta, a De Niro filly sold for DM70.000,- . In 1999, De Niro won many dressage shows at the Fourth Level and has qualified more than once for the German "Bundeschampionate". Today, De Niro continues to advance in dressage while competing at the FEI levels. He has been winning at the Grand Prix Level since he was a 7 year old.

De Niro is a son of Donnerhall, who became a figurehead of the more recent Oldenburg breeding history, as double world champion and a top class hereditary transmitter of dressage horses. The dam Alicante , who was herself a successful dressage horse, had earlier produced the full-De Niro brother Dimension. The damsire Akzent II is regarded as one of the best procreators of rideability horses of modern day horse breeding. The pedigree is consolidated well by the strong performance thoroughbred Wiesenbaum xx and the siring legend Ferdinand. The damline is identical in its origins to that of the stallions Dewett (Zweibrücken state stallion), Gomez (Dillenburg state stallion), Laurion (private stallion Oldenburg ), Wapiti ( Celle state stallion) and Wogenbrecher (private stallion Hanover ). Laurion’s full-sister, the international showjumping derby winner Landdame FRH/ Franke Sloothaak, also represents this dynasty.

De Niro was one of the best jumping stallions at the 1995 Verden stallion market and ranged among the top at the 1996 stallion performance test in Adelheidsdorf, where he received the highest rideability score and became overall second in performance class I. De Niro has meanwhile won dressage competitions at the elementary and intermediate levels and qualified for the national dressage championships of 1998 and 1999. Merely aged seven, he already won Prix’ St. Georges, Intermédiaire I and II as well as Grand Prix events during the 2000 season. In 2000, he was furthermore declared the best new generation Grand Prix horse and in 2001, he won the Championship of German Professional Riders, ridden by his trainer Dolf- Dietram Keller. This was followed in 2002, by wins in international Grand Prix events. De Niro was awarded the I-a main premium by theOldenburg Association in 1997 as a result of his overwhelming breeding value rating.

His progeny dominate the foal markets in Medingen, Vechta and Verden as evidenced by his son Day and Night, who was sold for the sum of DM 140,000 in Medingen in the year 2000. His sons are furthermore very popular at the approvals, demonstrated inter alia, by Der Lord, who went into the services of the Lower Saxon state stud of Celle and Divino de L, who is covering in Baden-Württemberg. Then there are De Vito, Donautanz , Depardieu (runnerup of the 2000 approval in Oldenburg and state champion in 2002) and Degas, who are stationed as loose box neighbours of their sire at the Hamstrup respectively Medingen stations, furthermore, Dionysos in Schleswig-Holstein, D-Online in Hesse, De Luxe in Saxony as well as Diego Velasquez and Dante Alighieri in Austria. The son Desert Moon, who is not being utilised in breeding yet, was third at the Hanoverian approval of 2001 and was the top lot of the 2001 stallion market at the knock-down price of DM 530,000. The likewise approved Donautanz came third in the 2002 federal championship of three-year old stallions. De Niro’s daughter Die Weingard became I-b diamond ring mare at the 2000 Oldenburg Elite Mare Show in Rastede. In 2001, his daughter Edina unequivocally won the Oldenburg Elite Mare Show at the same location.

An impressive, brilliant appearance in the dressage ring

Privately owned stallion De Niro is the Hanoverian Stallion of the Year 2008. The Donnerhall/Akzent II-son was bred by Brigitte Pahl, Fockbek, and licensed in Verden in 1995. Since that time, he has been standing at Klosterhof Medingen. With this annual award, the Hanoverian Society and R+V/VTV insurance company honours important breeding stallions. At the Verden Stallion Market, breeder Brigitte Pahl was honoured with the Wohlklang-statuette and a cheque.

De Niro was born in 1993, and at the Stallion Approval in Verden in 1995, he was already one of the most popular and fascinating stallions. One year later, the black youngster completed his stallion performance test in Adelheidsdorf with the highest dressage score. Riding instructor Dolf-Dietram Keller trained him up to Grand Prix-level. In 2001, De Niro won the German Championships of professional riders and in 2003, the German Dressage Derby in Hamburg. Since 2006, he has been successfully competing with his young rider Theresa Wahler. De Niro's dam Alicante was successful up to medium level with Susanne Pahl, the breeder’s daughter. She was an active brood mare for only a few years. The impressive result: Her four sons are successful competition horses, two of them, De Niro and his right brother Dimension, are approved stallions.

De Niro passes on his excellent rideability and fantastic movements as well as type and expression to his progeny. 1,341 offspring are registered with the Hanoverian Society. 14 of his 22 approved sons are registered with the first-class stallion book, 99 daughters were awarded state premium mare. He is the sire of 123 Verden auction foals and of 109 horses sold at riding horse auctions. 434 progeny achieved placements in the dressage ring up to advanced level and contributed to De Niro’s fantastic dressage breeding evaluation of 147 points. Together his sons, he has an incredible impact and influence on breeding.

The Celle state stud stallion Dancier won his Stallion Licensing and stallion performance test. Desert Moon and De Janeiro were reserve champions in Verden. De Noir is one of the most popular stallions in Denmark. Maternal lines featuring De Niro in the pedigree are also very popular. His daughter De Nira is the dam of Hotline, the champion stallion of the Stallion Licensing in 2005. Hotline was the most expensive stallion ever sold at a breeding association’s sales event. Donner de Nero is the dam of the reserve champion of the Stallion Licensing in 2007, Fürst Nymphenburg, who won the stallion performance test in Adelheidsdorf in 2008.
