For Ever HW, liver chestnut Hanoverian gelding by Oldenburg champion For Romance/champion and Olympic bronze medalist Don Schufro, born in 2020, standing approximately 169 cm or 16.2 hands.
For Ever HW has an impressive pedigree, his sire is the stunning Oldenburg Champion For Romance - the epitome of a model sire - and from a Voltaire dam line that has been accorded great success. Blessed with three excellent gaits, his canter and trot can only be described with superlatives and his character is also noteworthy. He stood out brilliantly in the strong lot of stallions at the 2011 Oldenburg Verband licensing and the enthusiastic spectators in Vechta gave him standing ovations. As expected, For Romance passed his 30-day test in Schlieckau with super scores. He received a 9.25 for his trot and rideability, a 9.0 for his canter and an 8.88 for character. In the third generation of his pedigree you find Don Schufro who took the Danish Champion title and won team bronze at the 2008 Olympic Games in Hong Kong under Andreas Helgstrand/DEN. He is also the sire of many champions. For Romance's dam line goes back to Voltaire, a Furioso II son who was well-known in breeding and sport the world over. This line is also the origin of the licensed stallions Dusty, Furinos and Platino as well as many international sport horses that were highly successful in show jumping as well as dressage. His sire, Fürst Romancier, was licensed in 2007 and made headlines just two years later when he took fourth place in the World Championships for young dressage horses in the class for five year olds and also fourth place at the Bundeschampionate in Warendorf. Matthias Alexander Rath has taken over Fürst Romancier's training. In 2012, For Romance’s full sister Fasine took the Oldenburg Champion Mare title – a feat that is so far unique in the history of the Oldenburg Verband. The dam's sire, Sir Donnerhall I, gained trademark status early on in his career. He was the 2nd Reserve Champion at his licensing, State Champion, the record-breaking winner of his stallion performance test, Vice World Champion of young dressage horses and Bundeschampion as well as the main premium winner of stallions with emphasis on dressage. More than 50 of his sons have been licensed. In 2010, three of his progeny took Vice Bundeschampion titles in Warendorf: Silbermond – the NRW Champion Stallion, Appassionata and the licensed Snap Shot. He has also siree numerous top auction horses. For Romance I has been honored as the VTV Oldenburg Dressage Stallion of the Year 2019 at the Oldenburg Stallion Licensing in Vechta, Germany, on Saturday 23 November 2019. This highly prestigious award is given to a licensed, Oldenburg stallion for his outstanding achievements in sport and breeding. On the occasion of the Stallion Gala, For Romance I OLD and Chap II was decorated with the VTV sash in the Oldenburg Horse Center Vechta. Heiko Meinen, head of the R+V VTV General Agency, which is specialized in insuring animals, once again took the opportunity this year to reward the breeder, as well as the owner by handing each of them a generous check in the amount of 1,000 euro for their great achievements in breeding. The splendid career of For Romance I OLD, born in 2009 by Fürst Romancier out of Gesina by Sir Donnerhall I - Don Schufro - Sandro - Gepard, bred by Gestüt Lewitz, and owned by Dressurpferde Leistungszentrum Lodbergen GmbH, was launched in 2011 when the Dressurpferde Leistungszentrum Lodbergen acquired the celebrated champion stallion of Oldenburg licensing on the Oldenburg stallion market. Carefully schooled by former auction rider Kira Wulferding and successful in dressage horse tests in classes A through M, this gorgeous stallion celebrated his first triumph in 2016 in advanced classes as well as a place in the top ten at the Nürnberger Burg-Pokal finals in the same year. In late 2017, For Romance I OLD’s further athletic development was taken over by Lodbergen’s head trainer, Therese Nilshagen. This year the pair won silver in both the Intermediaire II tests and the Short Grand Prix. Romance possesses extremely good rideability and collection. Working together with our trainer Klaus Balkenhol, we now want to concentrate on making him stronger, making optimal use of his excellent hindquarters and work carefully towards Grand Prix sport. Although For Romance I OLD is in great demand as a breeding stallion, he is incredibly sweet and will do almost anything for a lump of sugar. He is also half-brother to 2015 Mecklenburg licensing champion Feinrich and to 2017 Oldenburg champion mare Fürstin Gesine by Fürst Heinrich. Romance I OLD's dam line goes back to the renowned sire Voltaire.
For Ever HW's dam is by Don Schufro. • Danish Champion and Olympic bronze medalist in Hong Kong 2008 He won recognition from nearly every breeding association in Europe. His breeding career began with Paul Schockemöhle, where he covered for one season as a 3-year-old before being acquired by Blue Hors. He was an inter-nationally sought-after breeding stallion throughout his career and left a very positive influence on breeding in Denmark, Germany and Sweden, where he was granted the status of Elite Stallion and ranking very high in dressage. In sport, Don Schufro met all expectations. He won the World Cup qualification as well as over 30 victories and many placing's in the biggest Grand Prix competitions, includ-ng Aachen, Bremen, Wiesbaden, Lingen, Neumünster and Nörthen Hardenberg. The high point of his career was in 2008 when he was named the Danish dressage champion and played a crucial role in the Danish Olympic team's taking the bronze medal in Hong Kong. Individually he placed as number 11. Don Schufro is a direct son of the great Oldenburg stallion Donnerhall, who is regarded to have had the greatest influence in modern dressage horse breeding. Donnerhall, who was successful in international dressage with Karin Rehbein, topped WBFSH's ranking as the world's most successful sire in dressage horse breeding for a number of years. He sired a record number of stallions and, through his many outstanding daughters, is represented as grandsire to a number of successful dressage horses. De Niro and Don Schufro, both born in 1993, were two of Donnerhall's most renowned sons. Don Schufro's grandsire is the Hanoverian stallion Pik Bube I, who triumphed under Herbert Rehbein. Pik Bube I himself had a great breeding career as a producer of powerful riding horses. He sired many prize-winnng stallions as well as top-quality mares that proved to be excellent matches for Donnerhall's thus achieving enormous success as a grandsire. Don Schufro's dam line is the renowned Holsteiner line "Der Finländerin". His dam and granddam were very fertile mares who passed on their own high quality to a large number of equally suc-cessful daughters. His dam's full sister, Fantasia, produced the elite stallion Don Primero by Donnerhall. Fiesta was dam to a number of successful offspring by Donnerhall which, in addition to Don Schufro, include Fabina, the Oldenburg Verband's Champion Mare of 2003, as well as other influential brood mares such as Fantastica, Donna Primera, Ferna, Farina, Filia and Fiesta's Girl. Almost all of them have produced stallions and licensed sons including Sunny-Boy, Classico, Don Rubin, Sidney, Vito Corleone S, Moosbachhof's Peron, Tailormade Red Rebel, Blue Hors Veneziano, Blue Hors Zatchmo, Rudisha and Blue Hors Zirrus.
