Sugarland HW, dark bay Rhinelander mare by San Amour/Ehrentanz, born in 2008, standing approximately 169 cm or 16.1 and 1/2 hands.
Sugarland HW, is a truly breathtaking young lady. She is by the outstanding stallion San Amour, an elegant mover and main Premium Champion and dressage index leader! Main premium champion San Amour is an exorbitant mover with perfect contours plus an uphill conformation, dynamic paces and an elegant, light action. He was the most coveted stallion at his licensing in 2006, selling at auction for the record price of EUR 450,000. His dressage index at the performance test was also the highest in his group at 137.4. He was awarded 9.5 for rideability and he qualified for the Bundeschampionat in Warendorf with ease. Several of San Amour's first crop of foals are approved stallions and one is a much-acclaimed Westphalian premium stallion. Many of his offspring are premium foals approved for elite auctions and one filly foal was sold at the Verden Elite Auction for EUR 41,000. San Amour was bred out of the impressive mover and Oldenburg Reserve Champion mare, Puppenfee, who also produced San Amour's full sister Auguste Victoria, the 2008 Oldenburg Regional Champion. Plaisir d'Amour has competed successfully in international Grand Prix classes and at the World Championship in 1998, while Figaro in the third generation of his pedigree is considered to be a brilliant producer of excellent performance horses, particularly in combination with the tough thoroughbred Kronprinz xx. Sugarland HW's damline goes back to Ehrentanz I. He belongs to the best dressage stallions in Germany and is highly placed in test at Prix St. Georges and Intermediaire I level. Many of his off-spring became auction highlights or successful sport horses. who completed his stallion performance test in Warendorf in 1993 in the leading group with high scores in the rideability index. After that he had wins and high placings in test at Prix St. Georges and intermediate I level. 174 of his off-spring are registered as sport horses (e.g. Ephedra/Eva Maria Sprehe; Enzian/Mette Assouline/DEM; Excaliber of Avaion). Ehrentanz I sired 3 licensed stallions (e.g. Ehrenstolz) and 10 state premium mares. Many of his off-spring became auction highlights. His sire Ehrentusch is one of the popular stallions of the recent breeding history.
Ehrentanz is by Ehrentusch, who won his stallion performance test with top results in all categories, proving the marvelous versatility of this line. He also became reserve DLG champion, placing second to Weltmeyer. Ehrentusch's sire, Ehrensold, was a Rhineland state stallion who sired many top quality sport horses, including Entertainer, sold at the PSI and ridden by Dr. Reiner Klimke and Michael Klimke. Ehrentuch's showjumpers include Elastique 2. His dam, SPS Rheinfee, was Best in Class in Rhineland, 1983 and reserve DLG champion. She is also the dam of Ehrengold, who was presented successfully by Klaus Balkenhol. Rheinfee's sire, Rheingold, was winner of his keuring in 1977. Ehrentusch has sired many horses that have participated in the Bundeschampionat and has many top auction horses, including Ecciavelle, 200,000 DM.
Sugarland HW is a horse of unbelievable quality and a super fancy mover. She has the elasticity everybody is looking for. She has a phenomenal freedom in her shoulder, huge grundschwung and swings nicely through her back. She has a very active hind leg and takes it deep under her belly with every stride and is soft and easy to sit. Lateral work comes easy to her.
